• After arriving in Paris on Wednesday morning, you will have a busy first four days! On the list of things you will do:

    • Enjoy a boat tour of the Seine river; a great way to get a sense of Parisian geography and see many of its most famous sights for the first time

    • Visit Paris’s modern art museum, the Musée d’Orsay, which holds the large Impressionist Collection

    • Visit the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe

    • Walk down one of Paris’s most historic and beautiful streets, the Champs Elysées, from the Arc de Triomphe to the Louvre museum

    • Travel outside of Paris to the world famous Palace of Versailles, spend the day touring the palace, the gardens (including Marie-Antoinette’s village) and enjoy a private group tour of the royal apartments

    • Sunday, July 6 is an unscheduled day

  • Week Two is your first full week in Paris. The list of things you will do and see this week includes:

    • Attend a performance at the Paris Opéra and Ballet

    • Learn how to make croissants and baguettes at a French bakery workshop

    • Tour the Catacombs

    • Visit the neighborhood of Montparnasse and enjoy a group dinner at an iconic restaurant

    • Taste a variety of French cheeses at a private visit to an artisanal cheesemonger

    • Travel to the city of Dijon, in the region of Burgundy, where you will tour a vineyard, visit a famous moutarderie (mustard shop), and visit the impressive Cité de la Gastronomie in Dijon

  • By week three (your second full week in Paris), you will be feeling a lot more comfortable in the city. Your itinerary this week includes:

    • Visits to historic cultural distinct neighborhoods like the Marais and the Latin Quarter

    • Lunch at a Senegalese restaurant and the iconic L’As du falafel restaurant

    • a guided tour of the old Paris Opera (Palais Garnier) - one of the most beautiful buildings in Paris and a walking tour of Paris’s Grandes Boulevardes

    • The weekend of July 19-20 is unscheduled and you may either explore the city on your own or make plans to travel outside of Paris.

  • There are only two days left in the program! After your weekend off, here are your scheduled activities:

    • A visit to the Montmartre neighborhood and tour of Musée Montmartre and Sacré Coeur Cathedral

    • Shopping at one of Paris’s many vibrant street markets and preparation for a group potluck dinner at your residence hall on the last night of the program

    • Transportation to the airport on the morning of Wednesday, July 23
